Lake Perris + Train Museum

Feb 26–28, 2027 · 2 nights

Why this one

Camping with a built-in Wayne activity

Use Lake Perris as the trailer base, then make the Southern California Railway Museum the main Saturday outing. The museum runs train and trolley rides on weekends, general admission and parking are free, and children under 5 ride free with an adult.

Camp

Lake Perris State Recreation Area

Target an RV hookup site so the weekend stays easy. California State Parks lists electric/water/sewer hookup camping at Lake Perris, and reservations can be made through ReserveCalifornia.
